Dr Marienne Abimbola Silva, the mother of veteran actress Joke Silva has died and mother-in-law to veteran actor Olu Jacobs(oku ana things)i just needed to add that. She died peacefully yesterday morning July 19th. She was 89 years old.
Dr Silva was the third female doctor in Nigeria but the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree. She became an OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger) in 1979.
She's survived by her children and grandchildren. May her soul rest in perfect peace and the Good Lord grant her living family members the fortitude to bear the loss and keep us all safe...Amen.
